CAI for IS2 Subject
Introduction
The mobile application titled "CAI for IS2" (Computer-Aided Instruction for Deployment, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance Subject) was developed to enhance students' learning efficiency. It allows students to progress at their own pace, offering topic lessons and assessments to gauge their understanding of the subject.
This project was prepared and submitted to fulfill partial requirements for the Application Development and Emerging Technology (ADE) subject.
Role
Served as the team's designer, responsible for creating the user interface for student use. Focused on ensuring the design was user-friendly and met the needs of the students.
The Problem
The sudden transition to online learning presents significant challenges for both students and teachers. This addresses issues such as tedious teaching strategies, methods of presenting educational materials, and monitoring students' scores. It also tackles the availability of educational resources, the challenges of remote learning, the stress and time consumption experienced by students, and the excessive use of paper.
The Solution
The project team developed the mobile application "CAI for IS2" to facilitate learning at the student's own pace, offering a convenient and user-friendly experience. The application aims to enhance the learning process, improve learning outcomes, and maintain student engagement and interest in the lessons. Ultimately, it seeks to achieve instructional goals and improve educational outcomes.

What I Learned
Utilizing an app builder expedited development. As a designer, learning to transform designs into code with an app builder sped up the process, though it introduced errors that the programmer resolved.
Gained experience in using an app builder to create a prototype of the application.
Taking breaks proved beneficial, helping to return to work feeling refreshed and motivated.
Future Plan
Expand the application’s scope to cover not just IS2 but the entire curriculum.
Develop a teacher user interface to allow teachers to track student progress.
Implement a messaging feature for interaction between teachers and students.
Create a website version of the application.
Add a dark mode feature for improved user experience.
